15 Years ago my day went something like this....Hospital appointment for antenatal checkup at 8am. Get told by nurse we have to wait to see Dr who will be in at 9am. Get told by Dr that things are not going to plan and they want to get my baby out sooner rather than later (I was 38 weeks pregnant) and he would like me to go straight up to the labour ward. I asked if I could go home and pack a bag first, he relented and said to come back that night to be induced at 9pm.
I went home and rang mum (I was in Sydney, she was in Nundle) who booked a ticket on the train and I picked her up from near Riverwood station around 6pm. By 9pm, I had an insertion of Prostin and was told it was just to start things moving.
After a little while (timings get a little fuzzy here) I was in quite a bit of pain, but was told that it was impossible to be in labour as the gel doesn't work like that...To be continued tomorrow (well the rest of the story is 15 years ago TOMORROW!!)
BTW the above pic is what I have 15 years on!
