Sean has been looking at buying an e-reader for some time. He didn't want a full sized tablet, but the e-reader facility on his phone was a pain as the screen is so small that he is lucky to display 1 paragraph at a time on it. He liked the idea of the Amazon Kindle Fire (as it had more 'bells and whistles' than a plain kindle) but they have not been released in Aus.
A few weeks ago, I got an email from spreets.com.au advertising an "Android 2.3 Tablet with 7-Inch Touch Screen, Wi-Fi, & 3G Capability for Just $89 - Including Delivery!" This was a great fit for the money we weren't prepared to spend, so I ordered it. It was to be a part of his birthday present, but we had to wait for it to arrive. I actually didn't read the fine print and didn't know how long it would take to be delivered, however Sean did and told me it was 3-6 weeks.
As it turns out, the freight company tried to deliver it yesterday while we were at work...3 weeks exactly from when I ordered it. So without telling Sean, I popped on to Toll this morning (it is just around the corner (ish) from work) and gave it to him this evening.
