Although I am a good cook, sometimes it is easier or less scary to revert to using a packet mix.
A few weeks ago, I bought a Donna Hay packet mix for macaroons.
Today, feeling a little bored with sitting around, I tried to coax Illi into making the macaroons with me. Although she started out enthusiastically, her recent goldfish attention span meant she left before the mixing had begun!
The mix was supposed to make 12 sandwiched macaroons, but I made them a little generous in size (and yes this is after we had all "tasted" them)!
They wont last long, but I have another of the mixes in the cupboard...maybe Illi might be more involved next time seeing that she has helped devour this lot!
