After 2 days of 'encouragement' Declan finally went out to mow the lawn late this afternoon. The interesting thing about this is that even though he spent 2 days putting off doing it and only going to do it when I used my 'no more excuses, go and DO IT' voice, within about an hour of coming inside, he informed me that he should have $x in the bank now cos he mowed the lawn. I am thinking that it will take at least as long for me to pay him the money as it took him to mow the lawn!
Wow... it was long! When my brother and I shared a house, our deal was to take turns. You could take your turn as soon as you liked, but obviously the sooner you did it, the easier it was!
ReplyDeleteThe long bit is not part of the lawn...that is where the cubby house used to be and it is uneven so has not been mown for some time...it really needs to be whipper snipped instead.
